(November 12, 2015) The 2015 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals will kick off at London’s O2 Arena on November 15 and once again features the best tennis players in the world vying for a collective $7 million purse. With three-time defending champion Novak Djokovic spearheading a field that also includes six-time champion Roger Federer and hometown favorite Andy Murray, ticket prices are garnering big global ticket demand on the secondary market.
According to Ticketbis.com, the cheapest ATP World Tour Finals tickets across all 15 sessions come during the Sunday session on November 15, where the get-in price is $74. Before that night, the second cheapest session will be held on Sunday during the afternoon and has a get-in price of $104.
Held on November 22, the Finals currently have the most tickets available among all sessions on the secondary market. The get-in price for Finals tickets starts at $220. However, the most expensive sessions during 2015’s tournament will be held on Saturday, November 21, where tickets for both the afternoon and evening session begin over $300.
Despite the lower get-in price, however, the last matches taking place on November 22nd are unsurprisingly the ones with the highest demand claiming nearly 30% of total ticket sales to this year’s event on the Ticketbis platform.
Returning champion Djokovic qualified for this ATP World Tour Finals back in June, becoming the early frontrunner to claim the fifth title of his career and fourth straight. He will likely face the most formidable competition from Andy Murray and Roger Federer, who is in search of his record seventh Finals win. Murray will have the chance to finish as the No. 2 player in the world for the first time in his career after generating 8,470 points across 19 tours this year.
Among other top players entering the singles tournament include Stan Wawrinka, Rafael Nadal, Tomas Berdych, David Ferrer and Kei Nishikori. Wawrinka has had a successful 2015 after winning the Chennai Open, Rotterdam Open, French Open and Japan Open. Nadal enters the competition after claiming the Stuttgart Open and German Open and finishing as finalist in the China Open and Swiss Indoors.
Tomas Berdych served as runner-up in the Qatar Open, Rotterdam Open and Monte-Carlo Masters before winning the Shenzhen Open and Stockholm Open. Ferrer had a notable year with wins in six ATP tournaments while Nishikori qualifies for the ATP World Tour Finals for the second consecutive year.
Bob and Mike Ryan will again lead the doubles campaign after winning last year’s tournament. They’ll be contested by top teams in Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau and Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo. The singles champion will win upwards of $2 million while the doubles team champion will come away with more than $400,000.
